Mays Market Menu

May’s Market Menu will be featuring Rump Beef. Take a look below to see what tasty dishes our chefs are serving up:

Cartwright

Beef Terriyaki with Egg Noodles and Vegetable Stir Fry

Deddington Arms

Char Grilled 6oz Rump Steak with Fondant Potato, Onion Puree, Confit Cherry Tomatoes and a Thyme Jus

Villiers

Peppered Medallions of Beef Rump with Roasted Vine Tomatoes, Jersey Royals and Rocket Pesto

The White Hart

“STEAK PIZZIOLA” Rump Steak topped with Spiced Tomato Sauce and Ham and Mozzarella Cheese, served with a Peppery Rocket Salad and Herb Roasted Sweet Potato Chips

To complement our dishes, we have a Terrunyo Carmenere from the Cachapoal Valley in Chile for our May Wine of the Month. From the Peumo Vineyard, this is a complex full-bodied wine with chocolate, pepper, and spice on the nose and a concentrated rich palate.

March’s Market Menu

Confit of Duck Leg with a Three Bean Cassoulet and Five Spice Jus

Deddington Arms

Sesame crusted Breast of Duck with a Coconut, Lemongrass and Noodle Broth

Villiers

Confit of Duck, Tagliatelle, Spring Onions, Spinach and Grain Mustard Velouté

The White Hart

Cider Braised Duck Leg with Chive Mash and Caramelised Root Vegetables

For March’s wine of the month I have chosen a Spanish white from the Navarra region – Pleno Navarra.

The wine is made from the Viura Grape fermented at low temperatures. This gives it a bright straw colour, with smooth, fresh, yet fruity dry flavours.

The wine of the month is a Los Vilos, Cabernet Sauvignon, from Chile. This is a well-rounded wine that is softened by the addition of a small amount of Merlot. The grapes are from Chile’s Central Valley, ideal with its warm sunny climate. At just £12 a bottle this offers great value.

Classic Specials Market Menu and Wine of the Month

We’re bringing back classic dishes to kick off the New Year!

This January, you can enjoy some delectable dishes from our Classic Specials Menu. The White Hart, The Deddington Arms, Villiers and the Cartwright are all creating something different for you to try!

What’s Cooking………

Each restaurant will be serving their own interpretation of a classic dish. You may begin your fine dining experience with a Homemade Minestrone Soup, Melon with Parma Ham, or even Eggs Benedict!

For Mains……….

For your main course, we have a variety of dishes! These include Steak Diane, Coq au vin and Beef Stroganoff. All of your old favourites brought right up to date.

Delectable Desserts…….

Finish your feast by indulging in a Warm Bakewell Tart, Sherry Trifle, or Baked Alaska. Remember this is just a small selection of our dishes, we have many more to choose from!

Wine of the Month……..

This month we have a Vetriano Sangiovese for our wine of the month. A soft spicy red wine with red berry flavours, produced from Sangiovese grapes in selected vineyards in Puglia, southern Italy.

The November Game

Our chefs have gone Game mad this November! This month, we have combined some great game dishes into our Market Menu. These offer fantastic value at just £10.00 for a 2 course lunch, and £14.95 for a 2 course dinner or Sunday Lunch.

Why not accompany these great dishes with a bottle of our wine of the month! For November a bottle from the Oakwood winery, Australia, (exclusive to our supplier). I have gone for their blend of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc, which offers citrus and apple flavours combining into a lighter style of wine. Obviously great value at just £10 per bottle.

I’ve discovered a wonderful bottle of wine from La Mancha, Central Spain. Raffine is a fruity, smooth, easy drinking red that can be served chilled. Perfect for the summer! For a wine so full of flavour, £10 a bottle really is great value.
