March Market Menu & Wine of the Month

March 7th, 2011

Our Chefs have all gone sizzling mad with their Bangers for the Month of March! Furthermore they will feature Welsh Bangers for the first 2 weeks of March in celebration of St. David´s Day, and Irish for the last 2 Weeks in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day!

Here’s a sample of our Welsh and Irish themed market menu for March:

Minted Lamb Sausages
Caerphilly Mash, Crispy Leeks and Welsh Ale Gravy
Irish Pork Sausages
Pan Haggarty and Apple Scented Gravy

White Hart
Welsh Lamb and Mint Bangers
Creamed Leeks and Potatoes, Spicy Continental Sausage
with roasted Mediterranean Vegetables and a Tomato Sauce

Villiers
Trio of Local Sausages
Caramelised Onion Gravy, Potato Puree and Green Beans

Our Wine of the Month is Aimery Sauvignon Blanc, Vin de Pays d´Oc. This is a grassy dry white wine with good acidity and a crisp finish, produced by the pioneering co-operative Les Caves du Sieur d´Arques. They have been producing Vin de Pays varietal wines for over 20 years and combine top quality winemaking with environmentally respectful grape growing methods.

To complement our Welsh and Irish themes, we’ll be featuring some Welsh Beers at the bar, and of course you can always have a pint of Guinness to celebrate St. Patrick´s Day!
